Small Talks with Scott Chaussée: Archaeology under the soil and under the sea in the UK
Time & Location
About the Event
Scott originally hails from Lawrence, Kansas in the USA. In 2010 he moved to England where he studied for an MA in Social Archaeology at the University of Southampton and pursued doctoral study at UCL researching the landscapes of early medieval communities in southern England. He started his commercial archaeology career first as an excavator at MOLA, then as a terrestrial geophysicist, and now as a marine geophysicist at Wessex Archaeology. Outside of the commercial sector he teaches and leads his own research, including community-based work which seeks to engage under-represented groups with archaeological concepts and methods.
Small Talks are sessions organised by Niyogi Books & Immersive Trails to make history, heritage and culture accessible to people by arranging interactions with scholars and advocates who talk about topics in their expertise.
